Identity Singing sets in a single movement seven short poems of American poet Robert White Creeley (1926–2005). Ideally, the songs will be performed as a complete set, but individual songs or groups of consecutive songs may be excerpted for performance. 

The seven poems of Identity Singing appear in Selected Poems by Robert Creeley, published in 1991. They are used by permission of the University of California Press and the Regents of the University of California.
